I’ve been a member at RippedPHL for six months. I’ve always been consistent at going to the gym and had a personal trainer in the past, but when I moved to the city in January it was hard to find a gym I enjoyed.  I joined two gyms but could not find the motivation to go.  Between being a full time special education teacher, working the afterschool program, and trying to have a social life, I was exhausted by the time I got home and skipped the gym often. I’ve always enjoyed going to the gym, but a pattern began where I was struggling to workout. A few friends told me about Ripped, but I was very anti classes because I preferred to be by myself and do my own routine. I suffer from severe anxiety so being physically active on a daily basis is extremely important in order to relieve my anxiety.  So, I felt like I had no choice but to step out of my comfort zone and try one Ripped class.  The next day, I cancelled my gym memberships. I loved every minute of Ripped and the options they gave you for your type of workout. The results I have seen from going to 3-4 Ripped classes per week and the motivation they give is unlike any other.  The instructors are amazing and I can honestly say I have never taken a class I didn’t enjoy.  They know you by name and will assist you with an exercise if your form is incorrect.  Sometimes that was my biggest struggle at the gym.  I thought I was doing an exercise correctly, but I wasn’t.  The environment was also something I did not expect. The music and colorful lighting got me pumped and excited for the class.  After I saw the results I wanted, I told myself I would never leave. Then, I started to do one All Strength class per week. The All Strength classes definitely boosted that extra muscle I was looking for, but they are not easy.  Completing one All Strength class per week was a goal I set for myself, and my next goal at Ripped is to get to two All Strength classes per week. Ripped has honestly been life changing for me. I have never been excited to workout, but this changed when I joined Ripped.  I feel at home when I’m there and have even built relationships with some instructors. They know my goals and how to continue to motivate me. Thank you RippedPHL!!!
