I have loved playing sports since I was young! As a kid, I played on a million different teams and juggled soccer, basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse. In high school, I concentrated on field hockey and lacrosse and continued to play club field hockey at Virginia Tech. Being on a team and playing sports was always such an important part of my life because it allowed me to stay healthy and active while giving me the chance to form life long friendships and meet amazing people. Once I graduated from VT, I moved to Philadelphia and began teaching fifth grade in the city. I bounced around to many different fitness studios, in hopes to find the same passion I found for team sports. Three years after taking almost every fitness class Philadelphia has to offer, I found a home at Ripped! Some of my friends from work brought me to a class and ever since my first class, I have been hooked! I think I found a love for Ripped because I could see my self getting stronger and stronger and really enjoyed working out with the trainers and friends. Ripped also helped me reach my personal best record for the Broad Street Race this year. I love that the workouts are different each time and that you have the chance to push yourself to your limits and beyond while feeling like you’re apart of something bigger than yourself.
